The book you are about to read is the result of an effort undertook by CGEE to bring Brazilian nationals and experts from other countries with the aim of exchanging concepts, views and practices when assisting in decision-making processes on science, technology development and innovation. It couldn’t be better. Leading scholars and practitioners met at CGEE premises and freely debated the advances in foresight with several S&T Brazilian institutions and representatives from government and the private sector. At that informal meeting, a range of issues on how to approach future challenges and their impact on daily life were presented and discussed using state-of-the-art methods and tools.
